Finally grabbed a Colossus Xword magazine (No 112) and no sign of the Gridless you mentioned.

I found Starhunts and Bafflers and Wizwords. I bumped into The Skeleton, and possibly the worst cryptic clue I've ever seen:

Very large snakes constrict nothing inside boars (3,12)

Pretty hard to trump that for enormity. I'll keep a weather eye on future issues.

Thanks Craig - I'll check out your latest gridless, no less, when the current colossus (of paper) thins out on my desk.

Cheers, DA

Hi David Astle,

I just came across your website tonight having Google-searched your name, having prior to that come across your name in an Age Crossword book in a Melbourne bookstore...

I love your site, particularly your accidental acrostics, and will be back for more. Thanks.

You may also enjoy my Gridless Crosswords. The first was published in last month's COLOSSUS (published by LOVATTS CROSSWORDS) and the next comes out early next month.

If you have the time and are willing, let me know what you think. I would love the advice or feedback from a real puzzle expert!

Sincerely,

Craig

PS Try Gridless Crossword 003. The earlier instalments are instructive only and probably not so rewarding for a puzzle expert such as yourself.
